This project brings together mood, rhythm, and quiet restraint. We began with the music room, conceived as a deeply personal retreat for a client with a lifelong passion for sound. The space was designed to feel intentionally separate from the rest of the home, embracing a darker, more immersive atmosphere. Every element was carefully considered, from the custom vinyl display and concealed DJ console to the reading nook and seating positioned for optimal acoustics. A rare collector’s piece, the iconic glove worn by Michael Jackson in the Billie Jean music video, became a central design moment. Rich textures, sculptural forms, and mid-century influences come together in a space that feels cocooning yet expressive, with all technical components seamlessly integrated and completely hidden from view. In contrast, the master bedroom was designed as a calm counterpoint. Rooted in a warm Japandi aesthetic, the room was color-drenched in a single soft, earthy tone to create a sense of cohesion and ease. Layered wooden wall panels, gentle curves, and tactile fabrics add depth without visual noise, while subtle blue accents introduce quiet contrast. The result is a space that balances warmth and simplicity, designed for rest after a life lived loudly elsewhere.
